Despite the global economic slowdown resulting from the pandemic, the pace of investments in the Port of Gdynia is not slowing down. It has managed to achieve a record result in cargo handling - over 24.6 million tons.
Port of Gdynia Authority S.A. has received a comprehensive project of geological surveys covering both the area of the new breakwaters of the Port of Gdynia and the pier of the Outer Port. The author of the project is Wuprohyd. The next step will be the approval of this project by the Ministry of Climate and Environment, and then the implementation of work, which we plan to do in the spring of 2021.
On 4 December this year Port of Gdynia Authority S.A. signed an agreement with STRABAG Sp. z o.o. for "The execution of the reconstruction of the Norweskie Quay in the Port of Gdynia", which is an element of a large project entitled "Deepening the access fairway and internal areas of the Port of Gdynia - stages I and II and reconstruction of the quays in the Port of Gdynia - stages II and III".
Port of Gdynia Authority S.A. once again this year appreciated by independent bodies! The President of PoGA, Adam Meller, was handed the "Symbol of Polish Success 2020" award. It is a special distinction for companies and institutions whose brand has become representative and stands out against the background of the whole industry.
